The Dragonfly 800 is one of the foundation models of the modern Dragonfly story. Built between 1986 and 1995, it introduced thousands of sailors to the unique experience of fast, stable multihull cruising on a boat that could still be folded and trailered.

History & development
Designed by Børge Quorning, the 800 was developed as a successor to the very early Dragonfly models. Its arrival in 1986 marked a significant evolution: a more refined hull shape, a better organised interior, and a Swing Wing folding system that became smoother and more reliable than ever.
Production continued for almost a decade, with subtle improvements over the years. The 800 was eventually replaced by the Dragonfly 920, but its legacy lives on in the design DNA of every Dragonfly built since.
