Nice job, and a good sail. It will be interesting to see how she performs in a blow. Is this enough to end the TRiAK's propensity to pitchpole.

I didn't know that any Triaks have pitchpoled. Mine has never come close even with the small floats. It does capsize, but it is typically a roll over the lee float. My neighbor capsized mine with spin up. But he righted it and was towed back to the marina by a nice passerbye. I've never capsized my boat though--perhaps I just pay attention a little closer than he did.

In any case, I'm happy with the modification. Floats had a little water in them after the sail, but they always leaked a little. I suppose I could fill them with water to see where they are leaking. But I can live with a pint every 2 hours. Next project for the Triak is building a new snuffing jib. The one I have is only fractional luff, I'll make the new one taller and the same color as the main and spinnaker.
