Here they are just prior to being painted.

As you can see, it won't be a gel coat type of finish. It will be a little uneven, but I can live with it.

Hey, that's looking pretty nice and a little more sanding and they will be slick. (encouragement) Take some time and sand them up smooth, they will look nice. You can use a little (bondo) filler to fill the voids and they will look great. I found a can of Krylon plastic paint that matches the TRiAK blue quite nicely.

Actually, I have used Krylon Fusion for plastic before on the boat. I does match very well. Also, since Bondo is so hard to sand, I used some 3M fairing putty at first. But it cakes. So, I have been using some interior/exterior light spackling called OneTouch which goes on like paste wax but hardens shortly into a very robust (and non shrinking) surface. You don't even need to sand it (but I do).

I appreciate the encouragement. I wore out two of my sanders and had to buy another one today. I get bored since I prefer to sail instead of sand...do you blame me? I painted today.

Very nice, can barely tell you made changes from here. Gonna take a look at that spackle for plug building in the future.
